The holidays are a time to sip warm hot chocolate, watch snowflakes spiral from the sky, decorate Christmas trees, and for some, also a time to give back through donations and actions. Every year Chicago Youth Programs (CYP) and Bentley Forbes work together with businesses and professionals in Chicago to create a unique Fundraising event and Design competition that lights up the Prudential Plaza lobby with festive trees. These trees go beyond just celebrating the holiday spirit – they are created to benefit the at-risk youth of CYP.

Season of Hope gives its participants an opportunity to relive the magic and fun of the holiday season by sponsoring a tree or joining a design team. All proceeds from the Tree Sponsorship go towards providing life changing programming to Chicago Youth.

At the Season of Hope Gala Reception on December 8th, Harrington Student Government’s candy-themed tree, called “Hopeful for a Sweet Holiday” was picked as the best by the children from CYP! See the kids with the tree below:

Next time you walk by Prudential Plaza, take a minute to come in and see all of the trees – they will be up until December 31st!
