We recently spotted one of our current Harrington College Masters of Arts in Interior Design (MAID) students, Shelby Girard, featured in ApartmentTherapy.com! Shelby’s stunning Gold Coast loft apartment – all 375 square feet of it – was highlighted as a sophisticated and thoughtful example of DIY interior design.

Pulling her inspiration from travel, hotels, artist lofts and graphic textiles, Shelby’s loft features high ceilings, eclectic artwork and a mix of vintage and contemporary patterns, styles, antiques and new finds. In the Apartment Therapy survey, Shelby shares her best advice for other DIY interior designers:  “Mix it up, don’t try too hard to match, and water the plants!”

See a tour of her apartment, complete with house tour and the sources of her furniture in the full article here.

Does her name sound familiar? Might be because I recently featured her award winning interior design studio concept in this blog! Congrats Shelby – your place is gorgeous!
