Tomorrow, see Harrington College of Design’s own John Martin-Rutherford, Interior Design Department Chair, present an Interior Design session at Chicago’s Career Day 2010 for Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management and Landscape Architecture!

The Chicago Architecture + Design College Day is a free event open to high school and college students, parents, teachers, and counselors interested in learning more about careers in architecture, interior design, construction management, and landscape architecture. From 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, the College Fair will host over 30 colleges and universities with degree programs in architecture, interior design, construction management, and/or landscape architecture. Representatives will be available to provide information, provide materials, and answer questions on their respective degree programs.

The Design Preis Schweiz  (Swiss Design Award)  is intended to highlight the importance  of Swiss design. In addition to high quality design, innovative economic and cultural relevance are also features sought after in the work. The Design Preis Schweiz interdisciplinary contacts encourage dialogue between designers and companies and provides support for new visions, research projects and market breakthrough. The Design Preis Schweiz both observes and makes an impression on the market, honours outstanding achievements and sees its role as that of giving uncompromising encouragement to adventurous ideas that will create new paths for the future of design.

Harrington College of Design Interior Design instructor and Program Coordinator, Peter Klick, was chosen to be one of the 6 panel members in Chicago for the first stop of the Swiss Design Award 2009 Exhibition, on August 30, 2010. The complete panel is:
